In 1975, he graduated from the Kyiv Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR named after F. E. Dzerzhynskyi (diploma with honors).
In 2006, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Law with the specialty 12.00.09 – criminal process and forensics; forensic examination; investigative activity. Dissertation topic “Information support of crime investigation (legal and tactical-criminological aspects).
