📵 In the format of a debate, students had the opportunity to discuss the potential possibility of banning the Telegram messenger, which managed to become a full-fledged social network, during the martial law.
🔸In particular, the impromptu government argued for the need to ban unclear locations and access to servers, anonymity of various publics, lack of effective cooperation between messenger administrators and the Ukrainian authorities, potential leaks of huge amounts of data, and the low level of media literacy of the population.
🔸Instead, the opposition stated that banning the most popular messenger is a violation of the right to freedom of speech and freedom of dissemination of information, absolutely safe messengers – there are currently no analogues, news in Telegram is a tool for quick awareness of threats and dangers, and the level of media literacy of the population must be increased in any – in any case
